Regathering Details

We're so excited to regather as a church beginning the weekend of Sept. 12! Lots of research, thought, heart and prayer went into our regathering plans, and we’re confident in our strategy to move forward. Please check out our regathering FAQ on this page so you can best understand our new normal for all large-group church gatherings.

Adult Worship Services

We look forward to welcoming everyone back at our normal service times and locations.

We will continue to offer a robust at-home worship experience for those who may not be able to attend in person, or who are uncomfortable attending in person. Livestream the services at northviewchurch.us/watchonline

We recognize that everyone has different comfort levels and that you may not be ready to attend church again in person. While we'll miss you, we are excited to continue connecting with you during our online services.

If you are part of a vulnerable population, we encourage you to stay home. If you have a fever or symptoms of COVID-19, or known exposure to COVID-19, please stay home.

Every other row will be used during the service, with the opposite rows being used the following service, and two seats will be kept empty between groups. After service is over, the auditorium will be dismissed by section, and there will be a one-way traffic flow out of the building.

Northview will offer sanitization stations around the building. High-traffic areas will be properly sanitized between services. All surfaces inside Northview buildings have undergone a two-step process using Bioesque Botanical Disinfectant solution and a Razor antimicrobial coating that will help to reduce the spread of any viruses.

Anyone in the building, elementary age or older, is required to wear a face covering. Please bring your own face coverings to the building. Staff and volunteers will have their temperatures taken upon arrival.

Doors will be propped open for you to minimize door handles being touched. Avoid handshakes and hugs and instead choose to wave, nod and smile. Please practice social distancing as best we can by keeping a six-foot distance between us.

Online giving is strongly encouraged. Please consider giving a one-time gift or setting up recurring giving at northviewchurch.us/give or on the Northview App.

Offering buckets will not be passed during services.

No self-serve coffee or tea will be served in the lobby. Capstone Cafe at the Binford and Carmel campuses will still be open for business. Feel free to bring your own beverage to church.

Check-in will be done via the Northview App. Be sure you have the Northview App downloaded  or updated on your smartphone (it’s now a blue icon!). A check-in option will be enabled once you get close to the church property.

You’ll be able to check in your whole family by entering in your phone number. Don’t worry, the process will feel very familiar to the check-in stations in the lobby.

Once you enter your phone number and check-in, a QR code will appear. When you arrive at church, walk up to a volunteer at one of the designated doors so they can help you scan your QR code. This final step will print the nametags.

If you do not have a smartphone or are unable to download the app for another reason, someone will be available to help you with check-in.

If you are having issues with the Northview App, check some troubleshooting tips here.

We will offer printed worship programs. However, we encourage you to use the Northview App for your sermon notes.

Please send only one parent for drop-off and pickup. This is simply to reduce foot traffic in Northview Kids.

All Northview Kids Team Members and children will be temperature-checked upon arrival to the Northview Kids wing.

Anyone in the building, elementary age or older, is required to wear a face covering

We will have hand sanitizer in each classroom and in the hallways of Northview Kids, and rooms will be properly sanitized between services. We will also reduce the number of toys in each classroom and rotate them so there is less to clean between services. All surfaces inside Northview buildings have undergone a two-step process using Bioesque Botanical Disinfectant solution and a Razor antimicrobial coating that will help to reduce the spread of any viruses. It is safe for all toys and playing surfaces.

Snacks and drinks in Northview Kids will be restricted to individual necessity only. Those kids who require a snack will receive a sealed, single-serve pack

Within the special needs ministry we will follow the protocols and procedures that Northview has put in place. Our elementary age and older kids and students who attend services with a Gracegiver (buddy) will be required to wear a mask. For kids and students within our self-contained classrooms, we ask that masks are worn while entering and exiting the building, while in common areas and when social distancing is not possible. Classrooms have been rearranged to promote social distancing and easy cleaning of surfaces. There will be hand sanitizer in each classroom and hand washing will be encouraged. We will provide social stories and supports to help teach and encourage mask wearing during the service. Online services will continue to be available for families.

Northview Students

Our 5th and 6th grade students will meet during regular service times at all campuses. Visit your campus page here to see when your campus offers 5th and 6th grade service.

Social distancing will be encouraged and face coverings must be worn.

For those not comfortable meeting in a group setting during weekend services, we will also offer groups during non-service times which will be held either on campus or in homes. We will also have an online group option available. Playlister Services will continue to be made available through the website as well for families to do on their own.

Our 7th through 12th grade students have the opportunity to engage with Northview Students in three ways, all of which are Life Group based. Student Services will premiere on YouTube at 7 p.m. on Sunday evenings starting the week of Sept. 13. Student Services can be viewed at home or in the community of a Life Group. Social distancing will be encouraged in all group environments.

On-Campus Life Groups

For students choosing to attend on campus, temperatures will be checked and face coverings will be requried inside, even with social distancing. Weather permitting, groups may meet outside where face coverings may be removed. There will be no large group gatherings at campuses.

In-Home Life Groups

For students choosing to meet in homes, face coverings will not be required. The decision to wear a face covering will be left to each member of the group and their comfort with face coverings. Students should have their temperature taken at home before arriving. If a student has a temperature above 100 degrees, that student is required to stay home.

Global Life Groups

For students who would prefer to meet online, Global Life Groups will be available.

All Northview Students Team Members and children will be temperature-checked upon arrival to the Northview Students wing.
