Swamp White Oak-Quercus bicolor


The Swamp White Oak-Quercus bicolor, grows in low-lying swampy areas and is known to live more than 300 years. It yields 1" oblong acorns in pairs at the end of long stems. The cap covers 1/3 of the nut. Known to be the sweetest of all acorns. Provides food and shelter for plethora of birds and mammals. Oaks are mentioned several times in the Bible and represent longevity and stability.
