Indy North/Central Services Find a New Home

BY ALEXANDRIA SMITH

A long wait of looking in the community for a strategic location has come to an end. Northview Church has found a new home for its Indy North Campus and Central Service offices. The location is going to be at 65th Street and Binford Boulevard.

The opportunity came about when Northview received a phone call from a broker to let them know that legal problems with the property had been rectified, and the property would soon be listed on the market. The offices were originally intended as medical offices but were sitting empty. The property had been tied up legally for years, and no one could get within reach of purchasing it, so this was an important moment.

The building features two stories with a total of 47,000 square feet. The second floor will be where the Central Service offices are located, and it has enough space not only for today’s needs but for future growth. Currently the Central Service offices are located at the Carmel Campus. This move will allow the Carmel Campus to become autonomous like all the other Northview campuses.

Northview hopes to move into the new location as soon as possible, but it is looking like early to mid-2018.

“Indy North will function as their own campus and will have campus offices on the first floor, just as any other campus,” said Stewardship and Multisite Coordinator, Ashley Adkins. “The goal is to give Indy North autonomy and function as any other campus staff would.”

One of the primary reasons that new space is needed is due to the growth of the kids’ ministry at the Carmel Campus. The additional space freed up because of this new property will be used for kids’ ministry and allow for Carmel staff to be placed throughout the campus. This long-awaited property is just what Northview Church needed to grow.

This post is entirely the opinion of this week’s writer and does not necessarily reflect the view of Northview Church as a whole.
