Safety & security
So you can be comfortable leaving your child with us, here are a few things you should know:
Check-In Process
When you arrive at Northview Kids, you and your child will receive nametags and an ID number tag. Your child will not be released from his or her classroom until we receive the matching ID number tag.
Safety and Security
Our volunteers must complete our volunteer application and submit a background check and references. For your kid's safety, our volunteers never serve alone. We have designed our rooms to have open layouts so children are always in view, no matter where they are.
Snacks and Allergies
Our classrooms sometimes serve basic snacks like Cheerios or graham crackers. If your child has any allergies, please fill out a yellow sticker tag that is kept on every classroom counter.
Well Child Policy
To ensure the health of children and staff, we ask that sick children not attend Northview Kids.
Upon the recommendation of the Committee on Control of Infectious Diseases of the American Academy of Pediatrics, please keep your child at home when any of the following exist:
- Fever of 100° or above within previous 24 hours
- Vomiting or diarrhea
- Any symptoms of childhood disease such as scarlet fever, German measles, mumps, chicken pox or whooping cough
- Sore throat or croup
- Any unexplained rash, cold or flu symptoms, including runny nose and red watery eyes
- Any skin infections as boils, ringworm, impetigo, pink eye or other eye infection
